Student Grants.
The
International Union of Crystallography (IUCr) and the International
Centre for Diffraction Data (ICDD) have awarded funds to help young
scientists (graduate students, post-graduate students, or post-doctoral
fellows with a maximun age of 30, exceptionally 35) participate in the
SMAOSS and the ICCOSS. The number of grants is limited and will be used
only for subsistence and partial travel support. For information on how

TRANSPORTATION AND VISA INFORMATION

Following
the long standing tradition of meetings in the Chemistry of the Organic
Solid
State (Jerusalem 1993, Matsuyama (1995), Stony Brook (1997), Cambridge
(1999),
Mainz (2001), Sydney (2003), and Los Angeles 2005, to name only the
recent
ones) the
Universidad de Los Andes in Mérida,
Venezuela, will host the XVIII- International Conference on the
Chemistry of
the Organic Solid State (ICCOSS-XVIII). This will be the first time it
will
take place in South America. For this ocassion, a “School on
Materials
Applications of the Organic Solid State” (SMAOSS) will be
conducted the
week
prior to ICCOSS-XVIII.
